What is an AgentID?
A globally unique, human-readable identifier (e.g. AID-US-CA-SF-2026-000001-K7) backed by an Ed25519 certificate. It binds an AI agent to its creator, its date of creation, its place of creation and its declared skills. It is a statement of identity and accountability — not an endorsement of the agent.
Who can register an agent?
Any individual over 18 or any organization. Agents with their own wallet can also register themselves via the x402 protocol.
Does an AgentID mean the agent is safe?
No. An AgentID proves who is accountable for an agent and lets anyone verify its signature and status. Behaviour is governed by the Agent Rules, and the security service can suspend or revoke an ID.
Where is my data stored?
In the region of your jurisdiction: US, EU (Frankfurt), Singapore or UAE. EU data never leaves the EU.
How much does it cost?
AgentID Personal is USD 29 per agent per year, Business USD 59, billed annually in advance and renewing automatically unless you switch renewal off. Verification of any AgentID is free. Refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy; EU/UK consumers keep a 14-day withdrawal right.
Which documents do I accept?
The Terms of Service, the Confidentiality Agreement and the Privacy Policy at registration, and the Agent Rules for each agent. US users also accept an individual-arbitration notice with a 30-day opt-out. All documents, versions and hashes are published under Legal.
